Aubergine Shikargah Banarasi Saree in Katan silk
Among the most intricate forms of Banarasi weaving, Shikargah brings historic hunting-scene compositions to life where forests, birds, elephants and tigers unfold across pure Katan silk in a continuous jaal.
Woven entirely by hand in the traditional Kadhwa technique, each motif is individually woven, creating a richly detailed and beautifully reversible textile with no loose floats at the back.
Pure zari silver threads finished in gold trace the jaal, borders and pallu, lending the weave its quiet luminosity. A broad border and elaborately woven pallu complete this exceptional heirloom, created in the master ateliers of Banaras.
