Deep Amethyst purple Banarasi Jangla Saree in pure Katan silk

Rs. 165,000.00

Woven entirely by hand in pure Katan silk, this Banarasi Jangla is an expression of the exceptional craftsmanship found in the master ateliers of Banaras.

Set against a deep amethyst silk ground, a flowing Jangla of floral vines and Mughal-inspired foliage unfolds across the saree, woven in the traditional Kadhwa technique. Each motif is individually woven on the loom, creating a richness, dimension and intricacy that is unmistakably handcrafted.

The saree is woven with pure zari throughout the jaal and borders — genuine silver threads finished with a coating of gold, lending the weave a quiet luminosity that comes alive with movement and light. Pink and coral  meenakari detailing introduces delicate touches of colour within the composition, adding depth while preserving its timeless elegance.

The border and pallu echo the intricacy of the body with remarkable precision, completed with hand-knotted tassels — a detail that speaks to the handcraft involved from loom to finish.

Rich yet fluid in drape, this is a saree created beyond seasons: to be worn for celebrations, treasured through generations, and eventually passed on as an heirloom.

A rare handwoven piece for collectors of authentic Banarasi craftsmanship, this is amongst the most opulent pieces of the edit.

This saree includes an unstitched matching blouse piece.

As each piece is handwoven, slight variations and irregularities are intrinsic to the craft and form part of its authenticity and beauty.
